Archos 97 Carbon- A very Inexpensive Tablet
With the imminent arrival of the new tablet from Google called the Google Nexus 7, all other manufacturers are trying to cope with this new flagship models by making very similar model to Nexus 7.
Same is the case with Archos. Archos has launched its first tab in the market, which is becoming very harder. The name that the Archos has given to this tab is Archos 97 Carbon. It is a very interesting tablet with a very competitive price. Here are some of its features:
∙ Archos 97 Carbon has 9.7 inches of LCD display and resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels, which is much better than other tablets available in the market but is similar to iPad 2.
∙ Its Processor is single core which operates at 1GHz.
∙ Archos 97 Carbon has 1GB RAM and internal memory capacity of 16GB and it can be expanded using external cards. You can expand its memory up to 32 GB.
∙ It has two cameras, one front and one rear which will help you to take pictures in any direction. The rear camera is 2 megapixels and the front camera is 0.3 megapixels which can be used for video calling. It can record 1080p video playback.
∙ The material chosen for manufacturing the chassis of Archos 97 Carbon is aluminum instead of using plastic, which is 11.5 millimeters thick and barely weighs around 620 grams. It is very comfortable to carry as compared to other tablets available in the market.
∙ The operating system chosen for Archos 97 Carbon is Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich with access to all Google services like Play Store, Google Maps, Gmail, etc. It also supports mkv video files and lossless FLAC/APE audio.
∙ Archos 97 Carbon has many preinstalled applications like Office suite, Archos Viewer, and Republic News, Brief Me, etc.
∙ Its Output is HDMI with USB port and micro-USB. This feature will make you import your videos or any other data easily to any other device.
By analyzing these features we can say that the tablet is quite attractive in terms of money. Its release date is estimated to our market this month, with a price to be around $249.99. The company is also planning to launch its version in 7-inch and 8-inch Display.
