Cloud Based Storage Google Drive Launching Next Week With 5GB Free Storage

Do you want to take your computer everywhere you go? You can do that with cloud-based storage. Before, you have to take your laptop with you. You also need to have a flash drive that you can take with you wherever you go. But now, there is an online cloud based storage with 5GB of free space. This is Google Drive.

Google Drive is Google’s pet project for quite some time now. They have started it with 2GB of storage but now they have expanded it to 5GB. I guess it has something to do with Dropbox only providing 2GB. With 5GB, Google Drive is providing 3 more gigs of storage for their users. I just don’t know how they are going to deal with HTC users though. I can remember that Dropbox has recently partnered with HTC to provide 5GB of free storage.

With Google Drive, you can store all your important files and access it from anywhere. You can also edit your files accordingly. It will be available for different platforms like Mac, Windows, iOS and Android. You can download the application to your device and set your files there. From here, you can access it anywhere.

The front page of Google Drive is already finished and released. They said that it will be released next week. My guess is that a surge of downloads will be happening next week. I myself cannot wait for Google Drive to be released. It will be sure to help my job for I need to store my files and access it anywhere. And yes, I also expect a lot of people shifting from Dropbox. After all, Google Drive is a better option for you can download it to your gadgets.

So are you ready for Google Drive? Stay tuned until next week. We’ll be sure to keep you updated.
