With the current release of Call of Duty: Black Ops Zombies it was only a matter of time before this popular console game crossed over tothe Android platform! It’s a great stride in applications for mobile and tablet devices, and this is coming from a console gamers point of view!

Call of Duty Black Ops Zombies is available on eh Google Play Store. If you haven’t played the console version, the game is a zombie survival first person shooter game. It’s based off the style of the zombie modes in the original Call of Duty console games. The Android version even includes classic maps like Kino Der Toten, and Ascension. One of my favorite games Call of the Dead: Director’s Cut makes it’s appearance on mobile, as well as “Dead-Ops Arcade,” a 50-level wave-based survival game similar to Gears of War’s Horde mode.

Right now Call of Duty Black Ops Zombies is only exclusive to Sony’s Xperia Play and Xperia S. If you have different hardware you are going to have to wait for the 30 day exclusivity period to end before you yourself can fend off the swarm of Nazi zombie horde.

What is Android ROM Rooting?

Rooting or Android ROM Rooting is a process that’s specifically applied to Android devices. The method of rooting would vary from one device to another and it is typically done by developers and advanced Android users.

Needless to say, Android ROM rooting shouldn’t be practiced by the average Android user. It’s a risky method and is only recommended to those who are knowledgeable enough to tweak the software of their phones or tablets. Even so, there are those who are willing to take the risks. Therefore, it is very important for you to consider the pros and cons of rooting. If you think that you can take the risks, better read on.

Rooting is a matter of preference. One can opt to root while those who don’t will not be required to do so. Magma Mobile has developed a Puzzle game for Android phones known as Plumber. As the name suggest you have to play the role of Plumber in this game. The pipes are in shambles; the water does not circulate properly and need someone to sort it out. Here you will restore the flow of water by using your wits and reflexes. Rotate the position of the various pipes to get fit together and form a circuit which can carry water from one side to another. A Plumber glance may seem simple, but the puzzle will become increasingly difficult to resolve.

The game offers two game modes: arcade and challenge. In both modes the way to overcome the level is to rotate the pipes to establish a path through which water can flow from one side to the other.

∙         In Arcade mode, there will be a water meter that we should empty connecting both sides, because otherwise we will lose. The road passes the water will be destroyed and new parts. If we lose, play to start from scratch.

∙         In Challenge mode, the meter will have three stars (one for each third of the meter). We must end the challenge as soon as possible, since in this way the water will also fill the meter, and the score will be the stars that the water has not covered, so speed matters a lot (the longer we wait, the more stars will plug).

If we combine both modes can have hours and hours of fun, since the game gives us hundreds of levels in 30 worlds and the arcade mode is ”endless.” Still, the game has some problems. First, some devices have difficulty in navigating the game menus. Also, sometimes you get three stars in the challenge mode, yet the game shows you that you got two. Some people also indicate that suffer lag in the menus. Archos 97 Carbon- A very Inexpensive Tablet
With the imminent arrival of the new tablet from Google called the Google Nexus 7, all other manufacturers are trying to cope with this new flagship models by making very similar model to Nexus 7.

• Install the necessary phone drivers before continuing with this guide. Download and install the HTC Sync software to your computer so you can install the needed drivers.
• Download the following files to your computer:
  • Jelly Bean 4.1.1 AOSP ROM, or from here: alternate link
  • Jelly Bean GApps (Google Apps) package
  • Flash Boot (Flash_Boot.zip, 477.86 kB)
• See to it that your phone’s battery is charged up to 75% or more to avoid interruptions during the process.
• Be sure you backup all personal data on your phone to make sure you have a copy of your personal data (contacts, SMS, MMS, Internet settings, Wi-Fi passwords,ect…) just to be safe.

Instructions

1. Copy the Jelly Bean 4.1.1 AOSP ROM package and the GApps (Google Apps) package to your phone’s SD card.
2. Extract the Flash_Boot.zipfile to a folder on the computer that you can access conveniently.
3. Open the ROM’s ZIP file. Locate the boot.img file inside and extract it to your computer.
4. Copy the extracted boot.img file to the folder where you extracted the file in step 2. You’ll then have 5 files in that folder.
5. If your phone is still connected to the computer, disconnect it and then switch off your phone.
6. Boot your phone into Bootloader Mode by pressing and holding the Power and Volume Down buttons.
   • NOTE: Use the Volume keys to navigate and the Power button to select an item.
7. From the bootloader menu, select Fastboot.
8. Connect your phone to the computer via USB cable. The bootloader screen should say “FASTBOOT USB.”
9. On your computer, go to the folder where the extracted files in step 2 and step 4 are located.
10. Double-click on the flash-boot-windows.bat file to flash the required kernel to your phone. After flashing is done, an “OKAY” message will appear.
11. On your phone, select Bootloaderto go back to the main bootloader menu.
12. Select Recovery to reboot into ClockworkMod Recovery Mode.
13. Select Wipe Data/Factory Reset and confirm the action on the next screen.
14. Select Wipe Cache and confirm it on the next screen.
15. Go back to the main menu and select Advanced.From there, select Wipe Dalvik Cache. Confirm the action to start wiping your phone’s data. After performing a full wipe, go back to the main recovery menu.
16. Select Install ZIP From SD Card the select Choose ZIP From SD Card. Navigate to tg_endeavoru-ota-27.zip and select it. This will start installing the ROM to your phone.
17. After the installation completes, install the GApps package in the same manner as in step 16.
18. Once installation is done, select Go Back and choose Reboot System Now. This will reboot your phone to the newly installed ROM.

If you followed the steps completely, Congrats!! Your HTC One X is now running on an unofficial alpha build of Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.

With the current release of Android’s 4.1 Jelly Bean. The rumors are saying that we will in fact have a limited number of new android devices that will be receiving official updates! Right now though, independent developers are working round the clock to bring the latest updates to as many other Android device owners worldwide! Thanks to XDA developer Sahil_lombar, we are able to update our HTC Sensation’s to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.

Although the ROM is still fresh off the press, it does have it’s fair share of bugs. With that aside by flashing the ROM onto your phone you will have a good feel on the performance and feel of what It’s like to have Jelly Bean on your HTC Sensation. But the most important thing about this release is the potential of actually having a fully functional ROM in the future!

The current build of the ROM has few non-functioning features, including: Radio, Wi-Fi, audio, camera, light sensors, notification lights, Google Now, and button lights.

   • NOTE: Once in Bootloader Mode, use the Volume keys to navigate and the Power button to select an option.
3. Select Recoveryto boot into ClockworkMod Recovery Mode.
4. Create a NANDroid backup of your current ROM. Go to Backup and Restore and select Backupon the next screen. Wait until recovery finishes the backup process.
5. Go back to the main menu and select Wipe Data/Factory Reset and confirm the action on the next screen.
6. Select Wipe Cache Partitionand confirm the action on the next screen.
7. Return to the main menu and select Advance. From there, select Wipe Dalvik Cacheand confirm the action on the next screen.
8. Go back to the main menu and select Install ZIP From SD Card.
9. Select Choose ZIP From SD Cardand locate the pyramid-jb.zipfile. Confirm the action on the next screen to flash the ROM to your mobile phone.
10. Once done, go back to the main menu and flash the gapps-jb.1.zipin the same manner as in steps 9 and 10.
11. Go back to the main menu and select Reboot System Now to restart your phone into the new Android 4.1 Jelly Bean ROM.

With the release of Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and the Nexus 7 being the first Android tablet to run it. Many Android phone owners are very excited to see what phones will make the Android OS update list, and which will be stuck using previous OS like Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich or 2.3 Gingerbread. But with the latest new ROM’s available today you can still flash your phone or tablet to experience the latest updates of 4.1.1 Jelly Bean.

Thankfully the CyanogenMod team has shined a light on the HTC myTouch 4G, by creating a ROM based upon the recent Android 4.1 Jelly Bean release.  Currently there are many other independent developers working on distribution of the latest OS to other devices.

XDA member cnote74 is responsible for the current ROM release based upon CyanogenMod 10 for the HTC myTouch 4G.

Keep in mind this ROM is still not 100% functional. But it does give you an idea and feel for how the latest Android OS will be able to perform on your device.

1. Copy the cm-10-20120718-UNOFFICIAL-glacier-jellytime_a7.5.zip and gapps-4.1.1-JellyTime.zipfiles to your phone’s SD card.
2. Switch off your phone.
3. Reboot your phone into Bootloader Mode. You can do that by pressing and holding the Volume Down button and Power button simultaneously until bootloader boots.
   • NOTE: Once in Bootloader Mode, use the Volume keys to navigate and the Power button to select an option.
4. Highlight Recovery and select it to boot into Recovery Mode.
5. Create a NANDroid backup of your current ROM. From the main recovery menu, select Backup and Restore and select Backup on the next screen. Wait until recovery finishes the backup process.
6. Return to the main menu and do a full wipe by doing the following:
   • Select Wipe Data/Factory Reset and confirm the action on the next screen.
   • Select Wipe Cache Partition and confirm the action on the next screen.
   • Go back to the main menu and select Advanced. From there, select Wipe Dalvik Cacheand confirm the action on the next screen.
7. Return to the main menu and select Install ZIP From SD Card.Locate the cm-10-20120718-UNOFFICIAL-glacier-jellytime_a7.5.zip and confirm it to flash the ROM to your mobile phone.
8. Once done, flash the gapps-4.1.1-JellyTime.zipin the same manner as in step 7.
9. After installation is complete, go back to the main menu and select Reboot System Now to restart your phone.
